I thought I’d give you all a heads up on some upcoming travels. Send me if note (or comment) if you think of anything that would make a good blog post while we are doing our “field research”
To start with, we are heading to Tunica later this week to celebrate 20 years of casinos in Tunica. I understand the first casino opened its doors on 19 October 1992 so we should be there on the exact date. There has got to be a story here.
The Tunica CVB also invited us to a cocktail party and I’m hoping to meet some of the people that I’ve only connected to via email or social media channels. If you are visiting the Horseshoe casino and see a casino host playing penny slots, it is probably just your friendly gaming blogger dressing up for a good time.
Prior to this, we are heading down to Lula to visit those cool Isle peeps. Mrs. Gambler got card saying they don’t have her email and if she brings it to the cashier’s cage, she will get a free room. I would think they got her email when she signed up but we are not going to argue with marketing when they are offering a free room.
@cheapgambler did you look in your total rewards calendar for Caesars properties? You never know what you’ll find in there

Sure enough, there were some free rooms. I could only get it for the 18 of Oct but since we got the room at the Isle, it all worked out.
Just to make sure all my posts are not about Mississippi gambling, the next trip is to Las Vegas in early November. Deena Detrick just got back from there and I’m also looking though Gray Cargill’s blog. She is quite the experot. My last few blog posts on Vegas weren’t so great so I think I need a new angle. Suggestions are welcome
