Tunica is right on the Mississippi River and it seems my blog ebs and flows with Ole man River. My blog numbers have been just crazy this month with me reaching a peak of almost 2000 hits a day. Maybe I need to start selling ads to fund my gaming habit

I’ve been posting about the Mississippi floods especially around the Tunica casinos. Some of the pictures really are amazing. The good news is the casinos are starting to open. So, if you work there or just have some pent up need for a good time, things are looking up!

When Will The Tunica Floods be gone? And The Casinos Reopened?

The Mississippi River continues to rise (pics from last post). According to WMCT in Memphis, ”approximately 4,600 hotel rooms have been closed, equating to $6,210,000 in lost room revenue per month (assuming 75% occupancy at $60 per night)”. Listening to the radio today (May 9th, 2011), I did here the Mississippi will crest around Memphis should be peaking today and Vicksburg, Miss on Wednesday (May 10).
