Tunica is known for casinos and I didn’t know much different when I first went there. It took us a few trips of heading out of the hotels to find out there are some really some great places to visit.

The two biggest suprises for our last trip were the Tunica River Park and Museum and Hollywood Café (I’ll try to cover the Cafe in a future post).  The museum is found right outside the  Fitz Casino and Hotel but easily accessable from the other hotels as well- here’s a good map with the casinos near by.

The Museum covers many things from the history of the Mississippi to the civil war to Mississippi wild life to art to a  aquarium with the largest catfish I’ve ever seen. It also has a walking trail – I’ll try to hit that the next trip.

Since a picture is worth a thousand words, I’ll do the rest of this post in pictures.
